Each year the School of Visual Communication produces an annual printed tabloid and on-line project called Dawn2Dusk. These projects were started as a way to bring all the students and faculty of the school together for a non-credit event that would showcase student work, as is a local event. Visual storytelling is not something that only happens at exotic news events around the world.
These projects involve the work of our print and multimedia design students, the graphic reporting of our informational graphic students, the photographic illustration of our commercial photography students and the candid photography of our photojournalism students.
In recent years, Dawn2Dusk has also included the work of students from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and the School of Telecommunication.
The Athens News and Nikon USA have sponsored all of these projects. Without these strong and dedicated sponsors, the next generation of visual communication students would not have been able to produce these Dawn2Dusk projects.
