The School of Visual Communication strives to maintain state-of-the-art facilities, including high-end digital input and output devices and up-to-date computer software.

The software used in the labs includes Microsoft Office 98 and 2001, Macromedia Director, Adobe Premier, Adbobe After Effects, QuarkXPress, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Freehand, SoundEdit 16, Nescape, Appleworks, GoLive, CyberStudio, and Protools.

The new College of Communication Scripps Howard Multimedia Lab contains 32 Macintosh G4 PowerPC's. Each computer is equipped with 256 mb ram, ZipDrives, JazDrives, and color monitors. The software in this lab includes Macromedia Director, Dreamweaver, Flash, Freehand, SoundEdit 16, Premier, Photoshop, AfterEffects, ClarisWorks, Microsoft Office, and Protools.
