This website displays the winners in the
National Press Photographers Association 2005
Best of Photojournalism Picture Editing contest.

The contest featured over 1,500 entries, in 26 categories, from across the United States and overseas. The judging was hosted by the students, staff and faculty of the Ohio University School of Visual Communication in Athens, Ohio from February 24th through the 26th.

The judges for the contest included:

• Washington Post picture editor Michel duCille
• National Geographic picture editor Kurt Mutchler
• Pittsburgh Post-Gazette photojournalist
  and current Knightfellow at Ohio University Annie O'Neill
• Scott McKiernan of ZUMA Press
