The School of Visual Communication (VisCom) offers an interdisciplinary visual communication degree in four specialized sequences: photojournalism, informational graphics and page design, commercial photography and interactive design.
Soul of Athens 2009 launched
The
annual Soul of Athens project involved over 50 students and faculty
together to produce projects on Athens County. The project is
supported by Nikon and The Athens News. To LINK to the site: http://www.soulofathens.comOur highly competitive program draws talented students from around the globe to take their creative communication talents to a higher level.
- Deadlines for undergraduate applications for fall 2010: December 15, 2009.
- Deadline for domestic graduate application for fall 2010: February 1, 2010.
- Deadline for international graduate application for fall 2010: December 15, 2009.
VisCom has been twice recognized as a Program of Excellence by the Ohio Board of Regents. VisCom graduate students have earned eight Fulbright Fellowships in the past five years. Alumni are well represented in the leadership of media groups, magazines and newspaper design, editing and visual journalism staffs and design groups for both print and interactive information delivery.
